UK Visit
I have just spent 12 days in UK. I went to look after my new six month old grandson. (I a have a granddaughter who will be 30 next year and another grandson who is 28) so Jacob was a surprise. he is delightful but I rediscovered that for me babies are boring. I enjoy children and love teenagers but babies. I was also reminded how awful the UK can be. Walking the baby sometimes three times a day was a nightmare. Either there was no footpath and I was terrified that the speeding traffic would terminate both our lives or the pavement was covered in dog shit. I considered making some leaflets saying 'Parking cars on the pavement is illegal' to leave on the many cars which forced onto the road. The good part of my stay was that I indulged in my passion for the cinema. I saw 3 films Of Gods and Men , The Kite Runner and The Kings Speech. All excellent.I have to go to UK again in April. I hope I can avoid The Wedding.
