After finding the felled trees I took these photos of colour in the garden on Jan 3rd. I felt a little cheered by these flowers.

I have no idea when this happened but I found it today, the first day I ventured in the garden after Xmas and found this massacre. Someone has chain sawed three beautiful silver birch trees.
