Fruits of Gardening
I have just spent an enjoyable hour gathering the fruits of my labour.
I large bowl of strawberries and a smaller bowl of raspberries which were hanging in the early morning sun like rubies. Soft fruit is the real treasure in my garden. My favourite fruit used to be gooseberries but although I have bushes which are producing lovely green jewels they disappear before they ripen and I can collect them. Is it the birds? At least they are leaving the raspberries.
